Coconut Coffee, My New Morning Addiction.


There is a ton of info out there about the Health Benefits of Coconut Oil. It's highly nutritious and delicious and when blended into a cup of coffee it adds a rich & creamy froth that will spoil you from having your morning cup of java any other way!

A simple Google search turns up a wealth of health benefits of Coconut Oil. It's used in treating kidney stones, nausea, rash, scurvy, infections, wounds, asthma, colds, constipation, cough, ear aches, fevers, jaundice, lice, parasites, tapeworms and ulcers just to name a few.

Furthermore, research is showing it:
  • eliminates viruses, bacteria, yeast, fungus
  • boosts energy & endurance
  • improves insulin secretion and prevents obesity 
  • reduces cavities
  • prevents of wrinkles, helps dandruff and soothes dry skin

I always have a big tub of it sitting on my kitchen counter and smaller containers of it can be found in almost every room of our home. A few of my favorite ways to use coconut oil are as a insect repellant mixed with a few essential oils, as an overnight hair mask, eye make-up remover, body & face moisturizer for myself and my kids, melted on popcorn, oil for stir frys and my new favorite...Coffee Creamer. Here is my recipe:

Healthy Coconut Coffee
1 cup of your favourite Coffee 

OPTIONAL Add-Ins:
1 tsp of Vanilla Extract
Raw Honey to taste
Sprinkle of Cinnamon on top

Directions: Blend for 10 seconds in your Magic Bullet or single serve blender, pour in your favourite mug and enjoy!
